Wedding Worries We Need To Avoid

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

When a wedding gets near, we can’t avoid everybody from giving out all sorts of unsolicited advices to both the bride and the groom. Their families will most likely give out tips on what they think is good. We are all focused on what should be done. But who tells you what NOT to do? That’s actually one of the factors that people are missing out when they give out advice to the soon-to-be-couple. There are a few things that I’d like to add to your wedding list. These are what you should avoid.

We all know that your family means no harm to your wedding day and they could only wish you all the best. In fact, sometimes they tend to do plan the wedding according to what worked for them or their friends before and now they are applying it to your wedding. It’s not bad but sometimes, what works for them might not work for you and it could only make things worse for your wedding day.

How to organize a bridal shower party?

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

If it’s that special moment in a friend’s life or for yourself and you’re the one that has to put the pieces altogether, all you need is some effective planning combined with proper organization and everything should work out just great. Nowadays, wedding shower parties have changed, from “girls night out” style to more like a family & friends reunion – a get together for the future of the family that’s being created. Whether you’re going for a classical approach or for a more revolutionary one, there are certain things you need to take care of.

Well, what do you want to do next? Do you want to go for a themed party or for a simple one? This is the first decision that you’re facing, and you should make it pretty quick, since invitations must be sent at least six weeks before the party. If you’ll go for a themed party(and you can choose a spa theme, pool party and so on), you’ll have to adapt everything to that: invitations, menu, costumes, and so on.

Wedding shower hosting simple guide..

A wedding shower is always a special occasion, not only for the bride-to-be, but also for her closest friends. Just the idea of a “girls night” is offering that comfort needed for the relaxation such an event should bring.

Dealing with the whole event is a challenging issue if you consider the fact that you have to make everything fit together; that’s why the first thing to do is to choose a theme for the party – since even the invitations should be accordingly. There are infinite ideas available, from a pajama party to a spa party or even a pizza one. Going for a “girls night out” may also be a good idea if your girls are fun and outgoing; but don’t forget that some of them may want to go for a classic style party – and you want all the guests happy, don’t you.

The next step to be taken is to design the invitations to match the theme and send them out at least six weeks before the actual event. Then you should start thinking about the decorations and everything, so that you have them prepared at least 2 weeks before that evening.
